DJ eager to learn and explore new frontiers

What are you doing now and what are your plans for next year? I am shooting a TVB costume drama series called Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre . My latest movie, directed by Cheng Wai-man, is now showing. It is an action movie and rather violent.

I have no concrete plans yet for next year, but I am sure I will continue to focus on my DJ career and shoot a few more movies.

How and when did you start your showbiz career? I joined Metro Broadcast's DJ recruitment programme in September 1996 and eventually got the chance to become a DJ. At that time, I was a Form Seven student and a part-time DJ. Those days were hard, but memorable.

What was your childhood ambition? I often listened to the radio when I was a child, but I never thought of becoming a DJ. In fact, my childhood ambition was to become a biologist as I loved biology. It is a mysterious subject.

What are your goals or ambitions for the millennium? I just want to do my job well and be sincere, happy and hardworking.

What will you do on New Year's Eve? How will you cele brate the millennium? I will be hosting a variety show for TVB on New Year's Eve, so I will be celebrating the millennium with some artists and the audience. I will try to think of something exciting to do and celebrate the significant moment with my friends after I finish work.

Apart from being a DJ, do you want to be a singer or actor? Yes, I do. Originally, I wanted to be a singer as I love singing so much, but the music scene is very competitive. It's difficult to get a start.
