Thai Airways has launched another companion promotion. Travellers with a companion can fly out of Hong Kong between January 3 and January 28 to Bangkok or Chiang Mai for a combined fare of $3,940; to Taipei for $3,840; to Phuket, Seoul, Denpasar or Penang for $4,940; or to Frankfurt, Paris, London, Madrid, Munich, Zurich, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney for $9,040. The entire journey must be completed within the specified dates.

US Airways adds icing to frequent-flyer cake Miles earned in US Airways' Dividend Miles programme will not expire as long as the member has any type of qualifying account activity during a 36-month period, US Airways has announced as part of several enhancements to its programme, beginning tomorrow. Qualifying account activity applies to miles earned for US Airways flights, Dividend Miles Visa card usage, or through any of US Airways' Dividend Miles partner programmes. US Airways also has extended the Preferred Member benefit period by two months to February, offering a minimum of 14 months of preferred benefits.
Free train trip upon Milan arrival Alitalia has announced that effective from tomorrow, all flights will be non-smoking. Separately, Alitalia has re-launched its deal with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines whereby passengers arriving in Milan can travel free on the Malpensa Express which runs between Malpensa Airport in Milan and the Cadorna station. This offer will be extended until June 30. Passengers will only be required to present boarding passes or air tickets to be accepted on trains which operate at 30-minute intervals.
