A FORMER financial controller for the Hongkong Stock Exchange and a decoration company owner yesterday denied corruption at Western Court. Josiah Mah Kin-man, 42, is alleged to have accepted a favour from Leung Ping-wah, 41, director of Wah Fei Interior Ltd in May 1990. At the time Mah was an agent of the Stock Exchange. The favour was given for influencing the exchange to award decoration work to Leung's company. In return decoration work was carried out at a flat in Realty Garden, Hongkong, belonging to Mah, at reduced cost. Both defendants pleaded not guilty before magistrate Mr Ian Candy. He adjourned the case until June 11. He extended Mah's and Leung's bail of $50,000 each.
