Police bitten in struggle

A police sergeant and constable were bitten and hit with an iron bar when a mainland illegal immigrant, 26, struggled during a routine ID check at the junction of Bowen and Borrett roads in Mid-Levels.

A suspect was held at Central police station and the officers were treated at Tang Shiu Kin Hospital.
