Problems were uncovered in two blocks at Yuen Chau Kok, Sha Tin, on Saturday and work was suspended.

'We would not consider selling these buildings until the investigation has been completed and until any remedial work required has been carried out,' Deputy Director of Housing Raymond Bates said.

Legislators attacked the Government for failing to monitor piling works.

Chan Kam-lam, of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, feared more scandals might be exposed.
