An informant whose tip-off led Customs officers to seize $6.4 million worth of smuggled cigarettes could get a reward of up to $50,000.

Customs investigators pounced after the information was passed on last week.
The department's anti-cigarette-smuggling taskforce laid an ambush in the Marble Industrial Building in Kwai Fung Crescent, Kwai Chung, on Tuesday.
Two men aged 34 and 43 were arrested when they left a fifth-floor unit in the building at 5pm.
Inside, 4.9 million smuggled cigarettes in 15 different brands were seized.

One of the two suspects is a mainlander who was overstaying in Hong Kong.
