Models Janet Ma and Qi Qi, writer Eunice Lam and actors Michael Wong and Josephine Siao Fong-fong are among the local celebrities taking part in a charity event this afternoon. Eleven well-known Hong Kong people have agreed to auction some of their favourite personal possessions to benefit the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation. Among the items up for grabs are a poem written by Bruce Lee and a handmade evening gown.

The event is organised by Standard Chartered Bank to celebrate the opening of its newest branch on Nathan Road, where the auction will be held.

Italian chic After a successful run at Hong Kong Fashion Week and another catwalk show at Ocean Terminal, Italian fashion labels are having another go at exposure. An exhibition of Italian fashion and accessories began yesterday at the Island Shangri-La, showcasing their autumn/ winter 2000-2001 collections. The exhibition, which runs until tomorrow, puts the spotlight on knits, leather and fur. Brands such as Rufus (soft leather jackets) and Messagerie, which makes high-fashion men's clothes, will be on show.

It is likely the collection - noted for the signature Klein clean colours and simple packaging - will initially be sold through Sogo.
