University education is a very important part of learning and life. It holds the key to our future success.
As we proceed from primary to secondary school and then to university, the knowledge that we learn is different.
The depth and range of learning is much greater at university.
I asked one of my friends who is a university student what he thought of university education. He said it was enjoyable as university life was completely different from secondary education and all the things he was learning were related to his future career.
However, some people say university education is not useful as the learning atmosphere is just the same as that of secondary school. Students listen to what the lecturer says and jot down notes. After school, students go home and revise what they have learned.
Perhaps these people are not familiar with university education. It is true that students attend lectures and study, but this is just part of learning. At university, students have the chance to apply their knowledge to real-life situations.
For example, if you study psychology, of course you will have to learn all the theories and practices. You will learn the symptoms of different kinds of mental illness and how to help people suffering from them.
