Kone Elevator (Hong Kong) Ltd has applied to have set aside a consent order issued in 1997 at the District Court granting Leung Chi-keung, 42, $438,770.

Leung, who worked as a lift repairer, claimed he suffered leg injuries in an accident on June 25, 1995, while working in Robinson Place in Mid-Levels.

But the company is claiming he told a colleague he hurt his leg in a basketball game the night before.

Leung denies he lied.
