Pop idol Andy Lau Tak-wah had an active week helping the community. One day he promoted blood donations in the morning and spent the afternoon cutting hair for old people in hospital.
Acting as barber to the elderly was a new experience for Lau. He kept his cuts short and simple instead of designing new styles.
With a total of 15 prizes from TV and radio stations, Lau was pop star with the most awards.
Singer Ken Choi Fung-wah modelled for Hong Kong Fashion Week. He wore a kilt designed by top designer Tang Dat-chi, who is designing costumes for Choi's upcoming concert. Choi was happy with the design, adding he would keep an eye on fashion trends. Tang said Choi's appear ance would arouse interest.
Singer Hacken Lee and composer Gong Kong-seng were accused of plagiarism for one of their recent songs.
The song won the Best Melody Award from TVB, but later the melody was alleged to be almost the same as that of a song by Thai band LoSo. Lee denied the plagiarism allegations and said the matter would be clarified soon.
