Investment company Multi-Asia International Holdings plans to open 20 photo-developing outlets in the mainland this year.

The outlets, to be opened under the Pistache name and backed by photographic giant Kodak, will require investment of about one million yuan (about HK$934,800), according to Multi-Asia chairman Carman Li.

The investment will be partly funded by the proceeds from Multi-Asia's latest rights issue.

The first outlet will be opened in Shenzhen later this month, followed by branches in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Harbin and Lianyungang.

The outlets will provide photography and developing services as well as digital-imaging services.
