Chinese news-clipping provider Wisers Information plans to list in Hong Kong after obtaining adaptation rights to more than 100 newspapers in the SAR, the mainland, Taiwan and Macau.
Wisers sells electronic news clippings to portal sites and corporations in the SAR.
Wisers chief executive Ringo Lam Wing-kwan said the company soon would expand its sales to other markets in Greater China and was looking for strategic investors.
The company would apply to list this year, probably on the Growth Enterprise market, he said.
'We are closely watching the development of the GEM, but so far trading on the GEM is not very active. We hope the environment changes for the better later this year,' said Mr Lam.
He said the company would start its second round of fund raising by the end of next month.
The company, a spin-off from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, received more than US$1 million funding from the Government's Applied Research Fund in December.
