The numbers did not add up for Hong Kong's Derek Fung in the Casino Filipino Open yesterday as a four-over-par 76 saw him drop down the leaderboard at Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club. A poor back nine of 40, which included a double bogey, four bogeys, two birdies and two pars, saw him fall from two-under for the tournament to two-over 146. Fung, in joint fourth place after his opening 70, is six shots adrift of Ted Purdy of the US and Japan's Yoshimitsu Fukuzawa and Soushi Tajima. 'It was very windy today and I became tired on the back nine and just lost my patience,' said Fung. 'I had a three-putt at the 16th for bogey and then was in the water at the last - another yard and the drive would have been perfect but it's a tough course and you are severely punished for loose shots.' Fung, however, reckons he is playing well enough to win on the Davidoff Tour this season. 'I think I can win this year. My game is good at the moment,' he said. Dominique Boulet of Hong Kong missed the cut after adding an 80 to his first-round 76. JOHN CREAN
