Poor visibility and fog were blamed for two shipping accidents yesterday.

The first collision happened off the China Resources oil depot at Tsing Yi at 9.35am.
Two catamarans were involved, one heading from Tuen Mun to Central with 32 passengers and seven crew and the other from Tsim Sha Tsui to He Shan, Guangdong, with about 50 people on board.
A woman, 63, from the Guangdong-bound Xin He Shan was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for observation.
Senior marine officer Lau Ka-kui said the two catamarans had slowed because of restricted visibility and said fog was to blame.
