Hong Kong needs to develop trade-related services to underpin the economic recovery, according to the report. 'Hong Kong must fully embrace the likely long-term trends in e-commerce by rapidly developing a suitable infrastructure, the necessary skills and the required legislative and institutional framework to support e-commerce expansion,' the report said. The SAR should provide more efficient and cost-effective transport links, it said. The Government's proposal to establish a marine cargo terminal and logistics centres at the airport was an important step, it said. Logistics refers to efficient movement and storage of goods and provision of services. Companies have been given until February 28 to make expressions of interest for the logistics centres.
