Mark Lui Chun-tak made his name producing and composing hit songs for Canto-pop stars Leon Lai-ming and Kelly Chan Wai-lam.

He also found fame in 1997 as a snappy dresser after being voted one of the best-dressed personalities by the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association.

'I would describe my dressing style as natural. I would wear something that suits me and not just because its in fashion,' says Lui, who has a preference for pastel-coloured suits.

And although he says every season there are items that look great on the catwalk, it is the attitude and concept of a collection that attracts him.

'Maybe its because I am an artist but I look at what the designer is trying to say through his clothes.' Clothing is part of the image Lui portrays to his audience. He has just formed a band called Online with two brothers and a friend. Their debut album comes out in May and Lui says the music is inspired by Japanese visual rock. He will also star in a movie with Kelly Chan called I Love You So.
