IT was two starts in five days for Always Luck and it was unlucky to run into a hot one like My Bunny. But the Brian Kan Ping-chee galloper will win a race in this company and it should be before the end of the season. He had no luck in running on Saturday but showed last night that he is back to some sort of form and it would be enough to see him prevail in this company. It was almost a comeback winner for Darren Beadman on Simply Great and trainer John Moore now has the added advantage of knowing that this lowly galloper is very much at home on a badly rain-affected surface. As we are likely to get a few more of those before the end of the season, Simply Great is worth bearing in mind. Active King scored impressively in the fifth event and can go on to even better things but Bambi, who made up ground, can be kept in mind for next season. Bambi will be effective over longer than 975 metres, over which he was run off his feet. Effortless last-start winner Call Sign is going to make his presence felt in staying events next season. Call Sign won as he pleased and is by the mighty Nijinsky. - there are more wins in store.
