I refer to 'Police must find these poisoners' (South China Morning Post, March 8).
The police have posted a number of warning notices in both Chinese and English to remind the public to be on the alert for suspicious persons and possible poisoned food in the areas of Black's Link, Bowen Road and Wan Chai Gap Road.
The police also conducted a publicity drive in December last year to distribute leaflets on Bowen Road to remind dog owners of their responsibilities in properly handling their dogs and taking care to prevent them from taking food discarded in public places.
We are very concerned about the information provided by your reader, particularly about the two individuals believed to have been involved in dog poisoning.
I take this opportunity to request your reader to contact the Miscellaneous Enquiry Sub-unit Commander of Happy Valley Police Station Inspector Leung Yuen-shan (Tel: 2835 5253) so that we can follow up with the inquiry.
We urge members of the public and dog owners to report any suspicious dog poisoning cases in the area without delay to Happy Valley Police Station on 2835 5200.
