Technology stocks were on a rollercoaster ride last week with investors in Hong Kong again taking the cue from Nasdaq and shifting their investments to the old economy stocks.
However, technology analysts say that despite the sell-off of technology counters, there are still good values in some regional and Hong Kong-based Internet companies with sound fundamentals.
Sunday Money therefore enlisted the aid of some of the leading technology analysts and asked them to name their top regional and local technology picks and explain why they were worth a look despite the sharp corrections in technology stocks last week.
Greg Feldberg, head of the convergence team at Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities, said a correction among many technology counters had left his favourites as 'screaming buys'.
Among them is TVB, 'one of the best content plays in Asia'.
'When you are looking at content you have got to see who has the hearts and minds of the people,' he said.
Mr Feldberg is also a fan of e-New Media, which provides billing solutions for Web sites.
