SPACE has added seven classrooms with seating capacity for 700 at the West Wing Shopping Arcade on the second floor of Admiralty Centre at 18 Harcourt Road.

There are simultaneous interpretation facilities and a computer laboratory with 40 PCs.

With the school's existing facilities on the third floor of the same building, there are now 29 classrooms with a capacity of 1,900 seats at Admiralty Centre.

'With more than 1,300 courses in 45 subject areas, there is always something for any student pursuing quality professional and continuing education,' Professor Enoch Young, director of SPACE, said during an opening ceremony last week. 'The demands are great and we will be opening new centres to ensure that everyone gets a chance to upgrade their educational qualifications.' On the same evening, SPACE presented awards to 29 outstanding students from its eight divisions.

These multi-talented students - from disciplines as varied as Chinese calligraphy and Chinese medicine to dietetics and law - were chosen because of their academic achievements or excellence in their own field.
