TD Waterhouse-SmarTone deal expands wireless trading

TD Waterhouse Investor Services (Hong Kong) has signed an agreement with SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings to expand cellular telephone investor services. Under this alliance, stock quotes for Hong Kong and leading indices in other exchanges will be available to SmarTone customers through wireless application protocol (WAP) telephones. 'WAP investing in local and international securities and further enhancements in wireless services will be rolled out in the coming months,' TD's Hong Kong managing director Karen Buck said.
