BOZELL Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Mr Howard Wang to managing director of Bozell's operations in Hongkong and China. He has more than 15 years' experience in marketing and advertising. He has held senior marketing positions with Citibank and Bank of America. Mr Wang joined Bozell five years ago in a regional planning and management role. LEO Burnett International has announced the appointment of Mr Allen Chichester to managing directorof Leo Burnett Ltd, Hongkong. Mr Malcolm Glenn, regional managing director for Burnett's 11-office Asian network, will serve as chairman of the company's Hongkong office. Mr Chichester was promoted from regional account director on the agency's Philip Morris business. Mr Glenn has become chairman in the agency's expanding operations in China, which in the last six months has added such major clients as Cadbury's, Reebok and Goodyear. THE Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club has announced the appointment of Mr Billy Lau as finance manager. Mr Lau has experience in the accounting field and has previously worked for the Kowloon Hotel, Pacific Club Hongkong and Pacific Club Kowloon. Mr Lau will be responsible for financial management of the club. MR Simon Patch has been appointed business manager, Asia, Reuters Television, as part of the planned expansion of its television operations in the region. Mr Patch will be responsible for developing Reuters television business in the satellite and cable industries, as well as expanding business relationships with terrestrial television broadcasters. From his Hongkong base, he will cover a wide geographical area, stretching from Afghanistan to Guam and from South Korea to Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Reuters Television, Mr Patch operated his own company, Patch Communications Asia Pacific, and had been a senior executive with satellite transmission company Keystone Communications in Los Angeles. ALLIANZ Cornhill Insurance (Far East) Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr Graham Norris as managing director. He replaces Mr Martin Quigley who has returned to Britain to take up a senior position within Allianz International. Mr Norris has moved from Cornhill Insurance in Britain, where he has held various management positions within that group. His most recent was manager business development in Bristol, where he was responsible for both underwriting and sales. MR K. K. Muihas been promoted to corporate finance director for Allied Group Ltd (AGL). Educated at the University of Hongkong and the University of Warwick in Britain, Mr Mui has broad experience in international banking, particularly in project financing and advisory services relating to China. MORGAN Stanley Asia Ltd has announced the appointment of Ms Christina Ko as senior China analyst. Ms Ko's responsibilities will include covering the rapidly developing Chinese securities market and analysing publicly listed Chinese companies. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ms Ko was the head of China research at Credit Lyonnais Securities (Asia) Ltd, where she followed the China securities market since the inception of the B share market. Ms Ko joined Credit Lyonnais in March 1992 and built and managed a research team of six analysts in Hongkong, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Prior to entering the equity research field, Ms Ko had three years' of investment banking experience in project finance. Ms Ko holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. THE Colgate-Palmolive Company head office in New York has announced the appointment of Mr Greg Woodson as managing director for Asia business development, based inHongkong. Mr Woodson succeeds Mr John Salter, and he will continue to accelerate the development of the company's activities in China, Japan, South Korea, Indochina and Hongkong. MS Claudia Cheung has been appointed public relations manager of the K. Wah International Group. Ms Cheung will handle the corporate public relations and media relations of K. Wah International Holdings Limited and International Pipe Limited. THE Ramada Renaissance Hotel Hongkong has announced the appointments of Mr Johan Chan as senior sales manager, commercial, and Ms Samantha Fernandez as sales manager, commercial. Mr Chan has worked in Taiwan, Japan, France, and Denmark. He began his hotel career in Hongkong in 1987, where he worked in a number of front office positions with the Omni Marco Polo, Kowloon Shangri-La and Ramada Hotel Kowloon. A Canadian national, Ms Fernandez has has held various food and beverage and front office positions with the Movenpick Hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Four Seasons in Vancouver, Canada, and the Sheraton Hongkong Hotel & Towers. Ms Fernandez holds a diploma in hotel management from the Swiss International Training Centre in Neuchatel, Switzerland. She will be responsible for all overseas commercial accounts.
