The massive Green Walk at Tai Lam Country Park, the second part of the Bossini - Green Passport operation, was an overwhelming success, with support from Canto-pop singers Joey Yung Cho-yee and Miriam Yeung Chin-wah.

Anna Lee Mei-yee, advertising and promotion manager of Bossini, said since teen idols had a strong influence on teenagers, it was most effective to have them help spread the message of environmental protection.

Yung and Yeung played games which embodied the conservation idea of 'reduce, reuse, recycle and replace' with the participants before the walk started.

Budding singers Andy Tang Ho-tin and Jack Wu Lok-yin initiated more games and gave out gifts along the route.

Those who completed the three-hour walk won stickers for their Green Passports, which would give 20 of them the opportunity to go on a tour of the East Malaysian tropical rain forest of Sabah in September.

Ms Lee said repackaging old- time conservation ideas into easy, fun and trendy concepts would help promote the issue among young people.
