Chilly voyage in 'deluxe' class

It is puzzling that First Ferry insists on 'freezing' passengers in its 'deluxe' compartments. This is a situation that has existed for at least 20 years with HKF practising it previously.

It is a mystery why they show a total lack of care, particularly in view of the fact that it loses them money. They do not seem to realise that excessive cooling wastes power. Nor do they seem to know that regular travellers mostly avoid the 'deluxe' class because it is so cold. One only has to look at the thermostat settings (usually below 20 degrees Celsius) to realise this, but the management seems oblivious to these simple facts.

There were similar complaints last year about First Bus temperatures. This was answered by an assurance to passengers that the temperature was kept at 17 degrees. This is ridiculously and dangerously cold for summertime.

First Bus/Ferry seems to have no understanding of what constitutes air temperature comfort and should consult experts in the field and not just air-con technicians.
