Biography - Georges Legros

Georges Legros is managing director and chief executive of Fortis Bank Asia HK (formerly Belgian Bank), and chief executive, North Asia, of Fortis Bank.

Prior to joining Belgian Bank in 1984, Mr Legros held various positions with the Bank of Montreal and the Europe and Asia Bank.

A graduate of the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and the University of Chicago, where he earned an MBA, Mr Legros is a career banker who is active in industry associations.

Among others, he is a member of the International Business Committee, chairman of the Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Hong Kong Bankers' Club.
