The Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong made the decision at its council meeting after having received the nomination via e-mail from national coach Rene Appel last week when Ho and San San were racing at the European Championships in Spain.
'We decided to select Ho because he has been performing consistently over the past 12 months, including the World Championships. Ho has been the only one we considered because other young sailors haven't reached the top level yet,' said a WAHK spokesman.
