Why you can trust SCMP

I WRITE to complain about the large number of urban taxis which are now advertising the cigarette, Camel, but which do not carry the required government warning.

The fact that the adverts do not mention the word ''cigarettes'', although they show the colours of the cigarette and the cartoon character used to promote this brand of cigarettes (with, I, might add, a cigarette), is certainly such an obvious subterfuge that it should be disregarded.

The Government has a responsibility, through the Transport Department, to prevent licensed taxis from being used for this form of advertising.
