Survivors of fire snubbed
1-MIN READ1-MIN
KADER Industrial management refused to meet survivors of the Bangkok toy factory fire, which claimed 188 lives.
Requests by a Thai delegation to see managing director Kenneth Ting Woo-shou were rejected, according to local unionists. Any meeting would be held at the office of the company's solicitors.
The delegation, which included survivors of the May 10 fire, arrived in Hongkong yesterday to demand that the firm, which owned 40 per cent of the factory, pay compensation.
