Teen jailed for battering love rival

Chow Ka-tung, 17, was jailed for three years after admitting to repeatedly hitting his love rival on the head with a piece of wood, leaving the victim with severe injuries. Chow attacked Chan Wai-kwong, 19, in Yuen Long early on March 27 last year after seeing Chan and Wai Yee-man leave a taxi hand in hand. Mr Chan spent a month in hospital and has since recovered from severe head injuries, Mr Justice Pang noted.
