Go the whole hog?

So the Liberal Party thinks that higher housing prices will help the economy.

Why leave it at housing? I am sure the Government has the regulatory and administrative means to reduce the supply to the market of medicines, food, clothing, vehicles, computers, furniture, air services, telecom services, legal services, stocks, bonds and all manner of commodities, if it really wanted. So, all these things would rise in price, thus increasing profits for particular businesses - sorry, 'helping the economy' - even more.
