THE owner of a video production company paid a $90,000 reward after he was granted the rights to make concert videos of Jacky Cheung and rock group Beyond, South Kowloon Court heard yesterday. Kwong Chun-wah, 38, of Videomovie and Advertising Production Service, was found guilty of offering $90,000 to Tom Chiu Wai-kwong, the general manager of Big Honor Investment Ltd in October 1991. Kwong was fined $10,000 and given a three-month sentence, suspended for two years. The court heard Big Honor was engaged in organising concerts for singers in Hongkong and abroad. Chiu was responsible for negotiating with clients and awarding projects to firms. Kwong admitted to ICAC officers he had given $90,000 to Chiu as a reward for placing the projects with his company. Chiu was earlier jailed for 18 months after being found guilty of soliciting and accepting commissions.
