To celebrate the end of Hong Kong's horse racing season, Cartier gave a cocktail reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to present the 'Cartier Champion Horses of the Year' awards.
Billy Woo, owner of Fibber, received the Cartier Ruby Equus Award for Best Griffin; Lau Sak-hong, owner of Fairy King Prawn, received the Cartier Sapphire Equus Award for Best Sprinter; Ling Chiu-shing, owner of Charming City, received the Cartier Emerald Equus Award for Best Middle Distance; and Robbie Fradd, jockey on Housemaster, received the Cartier Diamond Equus Award for Best Stayer on behalf of owner Larry Yung.
