What do you know about the post of sales Cooradinator? Cindy Yee, who is the Sales Coordinator in the Classified Post of SCMP travels back and forth her working place in Tai Po for 4 hours everyday. She has been working in South China Morning Post (SCMP) for over 10 years and she is determined to stay as she is still confronting challenges everyday. She was once a secretary of a boss in SCMP, along with his retirement, she was assigned with this new job.
There are five main sectors in the department, such as the production unit, telephone sales, field sales, administration section and the business department. The production department is responsible for writing and verifying the drafts of the customers. The telephone sales receives incoming calls from fax and telephone. The field sales deal with contractual arrangements whereas the administrative section functions as a manual unit. The new business department which Cindy now works for, promotes online advertising.
Being the sales coordinator, Cindy is responsible to deal with overseas advertisements. The telephone sales and field sales departments pass overseas clients to her and she negotiates with them concerning the advertisements. Besides, she handles the follow up and maintainance work of the Careers Post Club. Although she is heavily loaded with work, she enjoys working as new things are always there for her to learn.
According to Cindy, things which she learnt during school days were not too much related to her present job. However, these knowledges are vital for her in search for excellence.
