Mother jailed

Sapuitham Manee, 43, was jailed for two months after admitting making a false representation to an immigration official. She claimed a boy born on March 29, 1982, was her son and applied for him to stay. Records showed she had had another child on July 21, 1981, causing officials to doubt her claim. She later admitted the boy was the son of her former husband and another Thai woman.
