SIXTH formers James Wilson and Angela Ho Wing-lam received the highest accolade in Hongkong school sports when they were yesterday named Sportsboy and Sportsgirl of the Year. Wilson captains The South Island School's basketball team and coaches the sport to younger students at his school. Diocesan Girls' School pupil Ho plays various sports but picked swimming as her favourite, ahead of athletics. The Hongkong School Sports Association also announced the winners of the Omega Rose Bowl Awards for schools achieving the best all-round performance from all sporting events they organised. Diocesan Boys' School were champions in the boys' category with La Salle College clinching the runner-up trophy. Chong Gene Hang College were named the Most Progressive School for showing the biggest improvement in participation in inter-school sports during the past year. Girls' champions were Heep Yunn School with Diocesan Girls' School second. The most progressive school award went to Marymount Secondary School.
