If you like mangoes, you're spoilt for choice right now: they're available i Mango lassi is a refreshing drink that tempers the heat of spicy Indian dishes. Puree equal measures of plain yoghurt and chunks of peeled mango, along with a few ice cubes and some sugar to taste. Blend until smooth and serve ice cold. Also in season - briefly - are rambutan (pictured). These spiny looking fruit - which sort of resemble sea urchins, are in the same family as durian, lychee and mangosteen. The spines are not nearly as scary as they look, they're actually quite soft. Just peel them off and eat the translucent white fruit - there's no missing the seed, which is often quite large.
