United States airlines are cutting fares until the end of the year. Low-fare carrier Southwest Airlines has cut fares for travel between August 14 and December 9, with coast-to-coast fares of US$99 and US$109 each way. Tickets have to be purchased by July 27. US Airways, United Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines have similar discounts.
Anti-lout law Thai Airways International employees have petitioned the government to pass legislation which will protect attendants from airborne louts. The 'anti-lout law' will be similar to legislation in the US, Canada, Australia and Singapore.
