Tasteless card

The new design of the senior citizen's card has two cartoon characters on the card.

This card is supposed to give dignity to pensioners, but cartoon characters hardly denote dignity.

The cartoon drawings make a joke of senior citizens.

I would like the department responsible for this card to stop wasting taxpayers' money by issuing these cards. It would be far more sensible for the Government to persuade retailers, and other businesses providing services, to give pensioners discounts of between 30 per cent and 50 per cent.
