Chief Secretary for Administration Anson Chan Fang On-sang will fly to Sydney for the Olympic Games next month to learn how Hong Kong should organise the 2006 Asian Games if it wins the bid. Mrs Chan, who heads the Asian Games bid team, is expected to meet Australian officials and the Olympic Games' organisers. The plan was disclosed yesterday by Financial Secretary Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, who is on an official visit to Australia. 'I am sure Australia is professionally doing it very well and there are a lot of things we can learn by the time when we organise the Asian Games,' he said in an RTHK interview. The other cities bidding to host the 2006 Asian Games are New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, and Doha in Qatar. The host is due to be announced in November. A contest to name the mascot dragon began yesterday. Entries close on August 18. Two winners will receive a cash prize of $5,000 and a trip to Singapore.
