CD-Rom on Chinese culture

City University (CityU) has released a new CD-Rom to promote Chinese culture. The CD- Rom is the first of its kind in providing topics on Chinese civilisation.

Its content mainly draws from the publication, Chinese Civilisation Sourcebook, a collaborative project between CityU and Beijing University.

The CD-Rom is a combination of text, video, sound and Internet.

The distinctive feature of the product is the 'Self-learning schedules', which enables readers to choose their own learning schedules.

The Web page also features discussion groups, on-line tests and is linked to other relevant academic databases and cyber museums which tie in with the CD-Rom.
