SCMP Reporter

An intensive summer English programme offered by the Language Centre of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (UST) has been accredited by the renowned Institute of Linguists (IoL) in  Britain.

The programme, English Plus 2000, is designed to help Form  Four students enhance their skills in written and spoken English  for the  HKCEE English Language examination. It is the first English programme for secondary schools in Hong Kong to receive accreditation from  IoL.

The  programme has a maximum of 20 students per class,   quality teaching, mock exams and opportunities to access UST's language learning facilities.  This year, 130 students signed up for the  course.
