Road To El Dorado sees the Dream Works production team present their second traditionally animated motion picture, following on from the smash hit The Prince Of Egypt. It follows a simple adventure in the year 1519. Spanish buddies Tulio and Miguel, who cheat others for a living, win a map to El Dorado, the legendary City of Gold. And on the road to discovering what they believe to be paradise, they discover something far more important than gold - friendship and love.
As with all Hollywood adventure blockbusters, Road To El Dorado has been produced according to a formula. You can expect an exciting yet dangerous journey, conflict between the two friends and plenty of good-versus-bad dust ups. What it adds up to is an entertaining motion picture, and the message put across a good one for today's kids - greed is not good. Supported by the brightly coloured images and happy tunes by Elton John and Tim Rice, Road To El Dorado provides perfect summer family fare. And it shows that, even in a digital age, traditional cartoons can still play a prominent role in the movie industry.
Road To El Dorado is playing on the Broadway circuit.
