Four get Oxford scholarships

Wadham College Lee Shau Kee Scholarship Selection Committee (Hong Kong) chairman Yang Ti-liang has announced that four students have been select ed for this year's direct admission to undergraduate degree courses at the college in Oxford University.

They are Kom Chun-hay, from Queen's College, who will study physics; Nicola Michelle Wong from Cheltenham Ladies' College, Britain (mathematics); Ng Kwong-luk from King's College (law); and Sylvia Hiu Sze-wai from Diocesan Girls'School (English literature).

Twenty-nine students applied for the scholarship this year, and 18 candidates were short-listed for interview by the selection committee.

All of the students had out standing results in their A-level examination.
