Phoenix Satellite Television posted its first profit when it earned HK$50.3 million in the year to June 30.
The Hong Kong-based mainland television operator - formed five years ago - had a year-earlier loss of HK$78.46 million.
The company, which listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) on June 30, forecast a profit in the year of no less than HK$27 million.
Revenue jumped 62.5 per cent from a year earlier to HK$511.3 million, bolstered by strong advertising sales.
Advertising income, which accounted for about 95 per cent of the company's revenue, increased 61.4 per cent to HK$485.7 million during the year.
Subscription sales increased 82.4 per cent to HK$25.18 million in the year.
Earnings per share were 1.22 HK cents, compared with a 1.9 HK cent net loss a year ago. No dividend payment for the year was recommended.
