Love of acting makes child star a natural in comedy 'The Kid'

Spencer Breslin was born on May 18, 1992. The Kid was not his first foray into acting.

His career started at the tender age of three when he did a whole series of television commercials.

He has also been in some mini-series for television, including Storm of the Century.

Breslin currently lives in Manhattan, New York with father Michael (who is a real-life consultant); mother Kim; brother Ryan, 15; and sister Abigail, four. The children do not go to school but are educated at home by their mum.

His mother said acting was what Spencer loved best. From an early age, he was always happiest when he had people's attention and when performing.

Breslin describes working with Willis and Turteltaub as 'cool'.
