Legislators met yesterday's deadline for declaring their interests by submitting details with extra care after the Gary Cheng Kai-nam scandal.
According to the Legco Secretariat, all lawmakers had declared their interests before the council's first meeting.
Among the declarations was one by Legco chairwoman Rita Fan, who submitted details of an $80 dinner she was invited to by banker Leo Kung Lin-cheng. Another two non-affiliated members, Ng Ching-fai and Ng Leung-sing, also declared the dinner.
Cheung Man-kwong, who is in charge of the education portfolio in the Democratic Party, filed a declaration of his wife's employment in the Education Department.
Democrat chairman Martin Lee Chu-ming declared a $151,200.53 donation he had received from the party for election expenses, while party colleague Albert Chan Wai-yip declared $675,321.27 received from party members, factories workers and citizens.
Democrat Fred Li Wah-ming said all his colleagues were careful in submitting their declarations.
