Ricky Martin Hong Kong Coliseum One show only Puerto Rican heart-throb Ricky Martin is a master of mass seduction. His skilfully choreographed production serenaded and shook a near-capacity, mostly female audience with his well-packaged brand of Latin entertainment. Standing atop a convertible sports car, Martin opened with dance hit Livin' La Vida Loca and proceeded to gyrate and hip-swivel his way through two hours of pure fantasy. He gave his fans everything they wanted - his looks, his hits, his dancing and those leather trousers. Martin also had his audience eating out of his hand when Taiwanese star Coco Lee joined him to perform the romantic duet Private Emotion. 'It's always been a dream to work with you so I cannot believe I am standing here singing this beautiful song with you,' she gushed. Then the real action began, kicking off with recent hit Shake Your Bon Bon, a perfectly choreographed example of what one man's pelvis can do to thousands. The auditorium exploded as nine dancers, two backing singers and a five-piece band assisted Martin in getting the entire audience on its feet and making a noise rarely heard in Hong Kong. The Latin dance fest continued with She Bangs, Maria and ended in the encore with football anthem La Copa De La Vida. Martin was entrancing. Yes, there was no shortage of cheesy moments but no one seemed to mind - especially when he changed into his second pair of leather threads.
