Q. Favourite bar/club?

Staunton's Bar & Cafe. They have one of my favourite wines, Petaluma Riesling, by glass. It has a good atmosphere and it's a tremendous place for people-watching.

Q. What's your poison?

Champagne, and Bombay and Sapphire gin and tonic. This gin gives a very complex flavour.

Q. What do you only do for pleasure?

Badminton, fencing and tennis. And I love cooking.

Q. What are you listening to?

A lot of jazz. My favourites are Miles Davis and the Keith Jarrett Trio. I also like Sarah Vaughan. She is just totally amazing.

Q. Is there a song that always makes you dance?

Songs from the 80s, such as the Communard's Don't Leave Me This Way and Madonna's Crazy For You.

Q. Is there a song that always tells you it's time to go?

No. When the music stops, it's time to go.

Q. What can't you say no to?

I don't really say no.

Q. Worst fashion decision?

I haven't worn matching socks for five years. I don't have a washing machine and have to take my clothes to the laundry. Every time I lose one.

Q. Who do you think you look like?

Like my mother, uncle Henry and uncle Peter.

Q. Who would you like to look like?

Like me.

Q. How do you relax?

I sleep. It's very precious. I seldom get quality sleep. I don't drink to relax because it is hard to treat a glass of wine in such a disrespectful way.

Q. How much does a normal night out cost you?

If I go out for dinner it costs me around $600 to $700. I may spend about $600 on drinking.

Q. Is Hong Kong a 24-hour city?

Yes. 18 for work, four for sleep and two for miscellaneous.

Q. Describe your fantasy night out?

I'd like to go to Petrus in the Island Shangri-La hotel wearing only shorts and a T-shirt. Some people take pleasure in dressing up, but whether you are dressed up or down, you can still appreciate a glass of wine.

Q. Who would you most like to be trapped in a lift with?

It would be a god of any religion. I'm not religious, so the first thing I would ask is 'why do you think you are god?'

Q. What do you contribute to society?

I bring laughter, humour and sensitivity to this mean old world that we live in.
