In The Colour of Paradise, blind children are waiting for their parents to pick them up for summer vacation and eight-year-old Mohammad (Mohsen Ramezani) is one of them.
However, his father Hashem (Hossein Mahjub) sees him as nothing but a burden. Fearing that the boy will be an obstacle to his marriage with a beautiful young woman, he sends the boy to live in another part of the country where he is to become an apprentice to a blind carpenter.
The film will open on October 19 at Broadway Cinematheque, Silvercord and Cineart.
