Arts-in-Education is a three- year pilot scheme on arts education, jointly presented by the Hong Kong Arts Department Council, the Education Department and the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The scheme aims to develop and enhance the existing arts education system. It tries to explore feasible and innovative ways of integrating the arts with other subjects in the formal school curriculum to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. The scheme is targeted at all primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong. Schools will join efforts with artists/arts organisations to work out and submit proposals. Approved proposals will be subsidised and the projects will then be implemented in the schools. Outstanding projects will win awards. For inquiries, call Virginia Ho of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council on 2820- 1063.
